Hermetic Packaging

Electronic components are hermetically sealed to ensure water vapor, dust particles and other contaminants do not enter the package. This includes changes in temperature, humidity, pressure, shock, vibration and other natural hazards that would otherwise degrade electrical performance or damage critical electronics. Many semiconductor devices and components require hermetic seals, such as those in high reliability applications, optical devices, and sensors.
