ALPHA 857 is a low-smoking, efficient foam water soluble flux. Using moderate air flow rates, its fine-bubble foam head is fast-breaking and recovers rapidly for effective coverage at high production speeds.
This highly active flux produces bright shiny solder connections. Water washing can be done without the use of rinse aids. ALPHA 857 produces little to no foaming.
The flux is formulated so that the cleaning process water effluent is completely biodegradable. Local regulations may require pretreatment to raise the pH.

High Performing Water Soluble Flux
ALPHA 857 is a 18% solids, non-neutral pH, high activity water soluble flux that is suitable for wave, spray and dip applications.
Developed with a modified surface tension to aid in soldering, this flux formulation possesses improved wetting characteristics and superior corrosion inhibiting properties.
