These inks are suitable for a large number of applications, such as crossover and barrier dielectrics, as well as encapsulation of components. End-markets include Automotive, Consumer Goods, Medical Electronics, Aviation & Aerospace, Smart Packaging, and the Internet-of-Things (IoT).

Additional features of these inks are outstanding fine-line printing, resistance to abrasion, and a wide process window. Furthermore, these highly insulating dielectric inks are compatible with a variety of polymer substrates like PET and Polyimide (PI), as well as other films suitable for printed electronics.

Dielectric Inks are tailored to meet the varying needs of diverse applications such as printed thick-film circuits, membrane switches, printed heaters, printed flexible sensors, and medical sensors. MacDermid Alpha offers these inks in various colors, such as blue, green, and colorless/translucent.

Ease of use and application

Dielectric Inks can be applied using either screen-printing or stencil printing technology. They are suitable for use with both polyester and stainless-steel mesh and a wide range of mesh sizes can be employed.  Many compatible substrates can be used, including PET, heat stabilized PET, Polyimide (PI), as well as, other substrates and films suitable for printed electronics.
