ALPHA Exactalloy Washers in tape and reel packaging service SMT soldering operations for through hole components. Our washers feature integrated flux which allows for secondary paste-free reflow and are sized to fit over connector pins or any type of through hole component used in an SMT assembly application.
Washers are placed with specialized vacuum nozzles which can be obtained from most pick and place machine suppliers. In addition to standard alloys, washers are also available in low temperature alloys.

Provide 100% hole fill to through hole components
When converting a wave soldering process to SMT assembly challenges can arise. Often times through hole components cannot tolerate standard reflow temperatures of SAC. Low temperature flux-cored ALPHA Exactalloy Washers can be leveraged and allow a secondary reflow process at a much lower reflow temperature. What's more is the washer preform is used independent of solder paste and has all the components to provide a reliable solder joint including 100% hole fill.
